Despite US President Barack Obama’s speech today, little is likely to change since there are no real consequences for banks that have behaved badly.

That’s right. Republican or Democrat is no difference because they both take the taxpayers money, but for different reasons.

But the American masses caused this problem because they vote for whomever will promise them something.

Become a libertarian which means you are responsible for yourself and should expect nothing for free.

Government is best that governs least, as Jefferson said.

@averageworkinggal “Gold Mines are less productive than sewers today” What an ingnorant untrue statement, Google world gold production. Sorry gold from sewers has stopped soaring precious metal prices Asian electroplaters now install drain collection equipment recycle gold.

  • averageworkinggal says:

@thruid3 – learn about the “Crime of ’73″, Bubba, and the fact that the Great Depression was spread globally by the Gold Standard in the 1930s and that those countries that exited the Gold Standard first were the first to recover and recovered much sooner than the US.

The Gold Standard is deflationary and transmits Depressions and since Gold Mines are less productive than sewers today in gold production, a Gold Standard today means depression.

  • thruid3 says:

    @belowaverageworkinggal

Gold induced depression ??? Are you nuts ? What on earth are you ranting about ?

  • HGSpaceTime says:

@averageworkinggal Stick with your paper money when it becomes worthless you can always use it to wipe your ass.

  • HGSpaceTime says:

@averageworkinggal I have copper too, but I guess you think that’s ignorant too.

  • reiser999 says:

LMAO, lest we not forget all of the gigantic gold short positions. There is no gult, everything you say is without any sort of evidence,

  • reiser999 says:

There is no gold standard period. You have no idea what you are talking about.

  • reiser999 says:

You just a made a gigantic contradiction.

You do not even understand basic demand and supply. You are hopeless.

  • averageworkinggal says:

@loser666 – you’re doing a good job at not comprehending anything.

HGSpacedOut was bloviating hot air about, in effect, his own personal gold standard, in that he’s consuming his gold as money, idiot.

  • averageworkinggal says:

    @loser666 – you’re very ignorant.

Go read about “The Crime of ’73″, a gold-induced depression that begat the “Cross of Gold” speech.

It is true that there’s more gold found in sewers now than from gold mines, but for 2010 there’s a gold glut with the predicted equilibrium price of $772/oz.

  • reiser999 says:

Your post is completely and incredibly illogical.

Gold prices would be pressured on the downside if gold was being sold, gold is not only in demand, but currencies are being devalued as well.
There is no gold standard now, there would be no “gold-induced” depression.

  • HGSpaceTime says:

Hedge Fund rip-off tool used by Wall street thief to scam you out of your life’s savings just bend over.

  • averageworkinggal says:

    @HGSpacedOut –

There’s more gold coming from sewers than from gold mines now.

Once you spend your gold, it’s gone for good.

You get a little bubble when you sell your gold and then the Gold-induced Depression hits because the economy collapses since there’s not enough gold in the world now or in the future to support it.

Start searching the sewers to replace the gold that you’re consuming.

  • 83RockaRolla says:

@Ockzopie I’ve always been an outsider at school because I did listen to stuff which was “old” or they had never heard of. Now I’m 27 (and can proudly say that I never owned anything by any boygroup, the Kelly Family, etc. :-) ) and can only tell you keep on listening to whatever you like, some will be ashamed that they ever listened to those chart crap and will possibly discover some of the artists you like much (obviously only the more famous ones, but that’s a start ;) ) much later than you :P

Rest in peace! the ones that have known your music will never forget you.

  • pykkervots says:

I like and agree with what you’re saying Ockzopie. Production line rubbish like Jedward is easy but your ears are obviously open and your mind is too. I’m a heck of a lot older than you and I can tell that for 13 you are on your feet and thinking. This is good. Alex would have been proud of you!

  • Triumph100Rider says:

Ockzopie, criticism of Alex ain’t nothing new. He was ignored in his heyday and bands didn’t want SAHB to open for them because they knew this guy the crowd never heard of would blow raise the roof off the sucker. (When the Tubes toured with SAHB, The Tubes went on first even though they were the headliners.) Check out the lyrics to The Strawbs song, Alexander The Great. Song about Alex and how it went down, kind of.

  • renniesteve says:

yes the band fantastic this song is a story book,by god he just the best ever

  • BY119ROCK says:

Absolutely agree. Just follow the Alex’s rule – dont pish into the water supply:)

  • pindowskivich says:

I totally agree. I always found it hard to find a friend who had similar musical tastes as myself. Then I figured, screw it. If my friends want to listen to the fluff, let ‘em. This way they’re not crowdin into my room borrowing my Alex Harvey records. Follow your passion ; it will pay dividends.

  • IniestaTorres says:

hey when I was your age somthing similar happened to me when I took hendrix ,dylan and king crimson in. They were all osmonds and rubbetts at the time. I still love mine I bet none listen to the rubbetts any more! There always is two sorts of music ,the interesting groundbreaking stuff and the fluff and nonsence here today gone tommorow stuff. if its any consolation the cleverer onesoften ( not always) prefered the former. If your a guy you will get the best girls!!!

  • mrbassman25 says:

man….. upmost respect to you my friend!!!

    your bang on!!!!

  • ScotRanger1960 says:

Your classmates simply don’t know anything about REAL music. Besides the Alex Harvey Band are just having a laugh here. Jedward ? What a fuckin’ joke they are. Talentless crap.

  • BY119ROCK says:

Try not to be a part of the crowd, be yourself, thats your only real purpose. It doesn’t mean you have to be a ‘white raven”, be yourself. So if you like it – then you’re free to listen to it. Whats adventurous to love all the garbage the other people do? Let them do, if you like this too then OK. But if you don’t, so what?… You must to have FREE WILL. T Be yourself…no matter what they say…Who was this? Sting? Do your friends blame him too? Be good:)

  • Ockzopie says:

I’m 13 and was teased by my classmates at school today, why? Because the music teacher let us play any sons we want on the computer, we got 2 each and I chose this, I was teased like never before, When this came on and they thought that this was utter rubbish! One of my friends came up to me and said: Jedward rule Alex sucks! 50 Cent is miles better than this guy! See how bad this generation are! I told him that almost all of 2day’s musicians use computers to enhance their voice!

  • Hejr58 says:

    Just sensational Alex Harvey!
    We all missed you, Man!

  • JJT1959 says:

it was just not not alex he as excelllent
but the rest of the band had a big big big part to play do you not see ZAL

  • johnnybsteelriff says:
