Sands Casino Implosion Atlantic City October 18th, 2007
The Sands Casino Hotel took its final bow tonight, taking center stage after a long run of 26 years. A shining star on the boardwalk of dreams in the lavish casino town that is Atlantic City, her timely exit marks the end of a golden era in casino gaming here in New jersey and the start of an entirely new one. She will be missed, but her legacy will be remembered by all who knew her when.

Excellent memorial to the Sands. Well done! Hopefully, This is’nt a sign that megaresorts are going to overrun Atlantic City and then It will be like vegas where all the current casinos won’t stand a chance.

Thank you very much. It was quite a spectacle! I don’t think this is going to be the last implosion we will see in Atlantic City. Pinnacle’s implosion of the Sands, I think, is going to be the start of a renaissance period of development in this town. Take care, look for more videos here sometime!
wow I really love how you got such a close shot of the Sands. You captured great footage of this event. I was on the beach, pretty much center of the Sands when I shot my video… the fireworks seem like they appear better from the angle you were at). Great video!!
